Hacienda has launched an extensive new wine list featuring a comprehensive selection of reds, whites and sparkling wines, including Imperial Rioja Reserva, Cune, 2004, Spain; Constantia Glen Three, 2008, Constantia, South Africa; Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine, Clos de la Chapelle, 2010, France and K-naia, Bodegas Naia, 2010, Spain. The more than 100 labels also include top-rated wines by Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate and James Halliday such as Médoc, Château Rollan de By, 2008; Shiraz-Grenache, Glaetzer Wallace, 2009 and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Château La Nerthe, 2006.

With a variety of both entry level and premium wines, Hacienda’s wine list offers both beginners and oenophiles the opportunity to sample quality wines without the exorbitant prices.  From just $35/bottle for a Cabernet Sauvignon <<Classico>> Viña Canepa, 2010 to $150/bottle for a Shiraz “Underhill” Yarra Yering, 2007, there are wines to suit any budget and taste whether you love the full bodied flavour of cabernet sauvignons or the fruitiness of merlots.  For those who prefer to sample a variety of wines, Hacienda also offers wines starting from just $7 per glass.

Started by the people who set up the University Club and Prive Restaurant, Roadhouse, a typical American diner serving burgers, steaks and finger food is the group’s latest establishment.  What makes Roadhouse’s burgers stand out from other gourmet burgers offered in many restaurants is the use of the Josper Grill to cook those delicate and sumptuous wagyu patties! Essentially, the Josper Grill is an oven and charcoal grilled combined into one, which shortens the process of cooking time where meats off the grill are usually left in the oven to finish cooking.
